It has been a truly remarkable term filled with hands-on learning and creative sparks. From the steam-filled platforms of a local railway to the magical worlds found within the pages of a book, our pupils have fully embraced every opportunity to explore and grow.
All Aboard at Cricklade Train Station!
Our curriculum came to life this term with a fantastic trip to Cricklade Train Station. The children were immersed in the world of heritage transport, and their enthusiasm was wonderful to see.
Museum Exploration, The Engine Room, The Main Event: Of course, the absolute highlight was the chance to ride a real train! It was a truly memorable day out that the children (and staff!) will be talking about for a long time.
Celebrating the Magic of Reading
World Book Day was a vibrant explosion of creativity across the school. It was a joyful day dedicated to the power of storytelling and imagination. Visiting Author: We were thrilled to welcome a guest author who brought stories to life, capturing the children's attention and inspiring our budding writers.
In the classroom, our young mathematicians have been working incredibly hard. We have mastered the art of telling the time to the quarter-hour and five-minute intervals. We also dove into the world of fractions, learning how to find halves, quarters, and thirds of shapes and quantities with fantastic accuracy. This term, we focused on our value to ‘Take Notice’. We encouraged the children to pause, observe the changing seasons in the school grounds, and appreciate the small, beautiful details in the world around them. This has fostered a wonderful sense of gratitude and mindfulness across the year group.
As we look back on these wonderful experiences, we want to thank the parents and carers for their continued support, whether it was helping with costume design or braving the weather for our school trips. We wish everyone a restful break and look forward to even more adventures next term!
