What a great Term 3 it was for 3/4GS!

In English, we demonstrated excellent teamwork skills as we became research partners! We did some research on various aspects of rubbish and waste which led us to writing a non-chronological report using various English skills.

In Science, Sound was the topic. This included us knowing the different parts of the ear and what happens once sound is made to the point that we can actually hear the sound.

We were very fortunate to have HS Sports coaching us with our hockey skills in our outdoor PE sessions this term. We enjoyed learning about different skills in gymnastics during indoor PE.

We enjoyed the ‘Rule Britannia’ topic and we learned a lot about the development of railways in Swindon. This included a wonderful trip to the Steam Museum where we took part in a very informative workshop, watched a brilliant performance by Prime Theatre and had a lovely tour around the museum. This included 'buying some train tickets’ from a ticket office.

"By the order of the North Star..."
"SSsssssh!”

If you know, you know…! It’s all linked with the Prime Theatre performance!

The term finished with us dressing up as steam railway workers for the day and sharing our Topic learning with parents (along with sampling some apple crumble that we cooked) during the Y3/4 Topic afternoon.

We can’t wait for Term 4 to begin when we will start the Vikings topic and finish the term with a production called Spring Chicken!
