This term, we have been busy writing CVC words, using ‘and’ to join sentences, learning the days of the week, and creating fact files on penguins! Year 1 have particularly enjoyed P.E., exploring yoga, and visiting the computer suite to log on, create media in Paint, and get inspired by artists like Piet Mondrian. Our Science topic on animals included a visit from ZooLab, sparking lots of discussion and creative animal enclosures. I’ve been very impressed with the children’s artwork this term—Year 1 focused on layering, scrunching, and tearing for an Antarctic collage, while Reception have been adding more detail to their paintings—their creations are truly magnificent!
