Progress for your child is measured within seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage:

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, Social and Emotional development
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive arts and Design.

These are then broken down further into 17 areas of learning as follows:
