This week we really enjoyed exploring 3D and 2D shapes.
We worked in groups to make 2D shapes outside and used spaghetti and marshmallow to make 3D shapes. We had to work as an effective team to make the 3D shapes but we got super sticky.
It has been a busy week in 3ZB! We have spent lots of time rehearsing our class assembly which was about Fairtrade. We learnt lots of new facts about Fairtrade and now know the importance of Fairtrade products. This week we also shared things that we are grateful for and will remember from Year 3. Lots of us said we will remember going to Oxford Natural History Museum.
This week we have worked really hard on our Arts Festival merchandise. As the theme was an Eco Festival we decided to make tin can lanterns. We collected old tin cans and drew patterns on them. We then asked the caretaker to drill some holes in the cans for the light to shine though. Once the holes were drilled we painted them, gave them a handle and out a tea light in it. Thank you to all the generous tin can donations we look forwards to selling them at the Festival.
