TWHF Literacy Festival June 2015
Moredon took part in the Federation Literacy festival! Ten children from Y1-Y5 went to Croft school and worked with pupils from Ridgeway School and people from The Sixth Sense theatre group. Key stage 2 children put on a performance of ‘The Tempest’ by William Shakespeare. Children from Key Stage 1 worked together to perform part of the story ‘Superworm’ by Julia Donaldson. We had a great day and at the end we even took part in a mini ‘Oscar’ ceremony!
TWHF Excellence Awards 2015
The idea to hold this awards evening came about after a series of visits to our schools and I was struck by the outstanding practice that existed and the quality of the experiences that our children were having on a daily basis.
Too often it is easy to just accept this as “the norm” – but when you work and support other schools outside The WHF family, it gives you a new perspective on what exceptional colleagues we have and how everyone goes the extra mile for the students in our care.
So we decided to celebrate all the amazing and hard working people that we are lucky enough to call colleagues and friends.

13th Oct 2014
Children from Years 1 and 2 took part in a WHF Gym event at Croft Primary School this week. They were given the opportunity to practise many gym skills and routine. Their behaviour, listening skills and effort was exemplary – well done!
The first White Horse Federation sports event of the year took place at Ridgeway School. Football was on the menu and Moredon took three teams. Everyone played really well, demonstrated lots of football skills and plenty of teamwork was shown by the players. Both the Year 5/6 and the girls’ teams came incredibly close to first place in their categories. Well done everyone for all the efforts shown!
